Desiree Adams got her love for animals while growing up. She watched and helped her mom rescue stray animals outside which is who she developed her love of animals from. When her mom passed in 2009, Desiree acquired her mom's dog Turbo (a pomeranian). Knowing pomeranians needed some grooming, she went and bought some tools and started to trim Turbo's hair. A friend made a comment that turbo looked very nice after his haircut which prompted Desiree to want to become a professional groomer. In 2012, she enrolled in online classes through Animal Behavior College and by 2013 she got hired at a local vet as a groomer. In 2015, she found a grooming job closer to her home in which she accepted. During those years as a groomer, Desiree had talked about her dream of owning her own salon one day. In 2020, that dream became a reality and Paws Up Pet Spa, LLC was formed. Desiree currently lives in Ephrata with her husband Josh, son Jaiden, and three dogs Rambo, Bella, and Rosie. In April 2020, Desiree lost Turbo unexpectedly.
